Based on the life of the wife of Peshwa Bajirao of the Maratha empire, the show follows her journey as one of the most important women of the empire. She, as the Peshwin, is the driving force behind her Peshwa husband. Her ultimate test unfolds when Peshwa Bajirao takes Mastani as his second wife. How will she, the once powerful Peshwin, cope with this now downgraded way of life?
